Julie had met the producers at a film festival, and was delighted that they brought her on to direct this very unusual approach to an abortion rights story. Working closely with Planned Parenthood and other experts for accuracy, the film was shot in 2 days in the Bronx.

During the Covid pandemic lockdown, Julie crafted a story set in an outdoor locattion, based on the fear of being alone. With her goal of telling a complete story in three minutes, she wrote, produced and directed the tale of a woman whose quiet reflection in the woods is dangerously interrupted.

At the Spice Shop, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), Rosalee (Bree Turner) and Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) continue to research the origins of the symbols on the cloth and may be getting closer to unlocking its mystery. Meanwhile, Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) continues to be haunted by his past transgressions.

This dramatic comedy stars Dee Wallace (E.T., Cujo), Bree Turner (Grimm) and Emily Button (20 Weeks). Peter's Ashes was shot in Los Angeles in 2 days.
Julie's first short film wasn't made for the festival circuit, but to secure her first episodic directing gig. It worked.
